Prospective Students

I am interested in mentoring students at all levels (undergraduate, masters, and doctoral) who are creative, independent, hard working, and willing to challenge themselves intellectually.

If you're a prospective graduate student interested in applying to my lab, you should first check out the general information on our Masters and Doctoral programs in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. This will give you basic details on our minimum admission requirements, cost of study, financial support, and timeline. I also typically request that all prospective students send me a current curriculum vitae, statement of research interests, and a short scientific writing sample (e.g., published paper, research proposal, research report, etc).

Your CV should include your GPA, your GRE scores (if available), three professional references, and details concerning your research experience (e.g., publications, scientific presentations, projects you’ve been involved in, etc). This will allow me to quickly assess your academic achievements and research experience to date.
