NOTICE:  
SDSU STEM CELL INTERNSHIP 
Applications are now being accepted for the second cohort of interns.
 
Deadline for applications - April 23, 2010.

This program, funded by CIRM, provides a stipend of $2,500/month to undergraduate seniors and first and second year master's students to work in stem cell research labs at TSRI, UCSD, the Burnham Institute and Stemgent, Inc. The second cohort will begin in August 2010 and complete their internships In July 2011.

This is a yearlong full-time internship that should be conducted as either a capstone experience for undergraduates, i.e. after they've finished with their coursework, or for master's students, it will be conducted in coordination with a collaboration between their research advisors at SDSU and one of the other institutions on the grant. Generally, master's interns will be in their first or second-year of a master's program in a relevant field at SDSU.  During this first year of the program, undergraduate interns may be in their last year of coursework.
