Message to prospective graduate students

I am currently accepting PhD and Masters students.

I am interested in students whose research interests generally overlap with mine, but a tight overlap is not necessary. While my lab is solely a computing lab, it is possible to do a joint field- and theoretical-based project with an appropriate co-advisor. Strong computing, mathematical and statistical skills are preferred but not absolutely necessary to work in my lab, however a willingness to learn simulation techiniques is required. I am not fussy about the organism or ecosystem of interest.

As most graduate advisors, I particularly like mentoring hard-working, focussed individuals. In this sense, I am selective about who works with me.
