The End of an
Era:
InnerSpace/OuterSpace
Open House cancelled for fall 2009
After 14 years
and thousands of visitors, the InnerSpace/OuterSpace Open House, a
fixture of early November, has been scrubbed by the Dean's Office for
2009. The participating labs will transfer their outreach activity
instead to the 2010 Explore SDSU and the 2010 Science Festival, which will
occur in March this coming year.
My thanks to
the members of the Astronomy, Chemistry, Geological Sciences, Biology,
Computational Sciences and Physics Departments for their help and participation
over the years, as well as the related student science clubs who manned many of
the exhibits and made this event as fun and successful as it was.
InnerSpace/OuterSpace
Open House may return in the future, and I'll be sure to let everyone know if
it does.
