ANNOUNCEMENTS
NOTICE:
SDSU
STEM CELL INTERNSHIP
application
deadline has been extended until October 9 at noon.
Applications
are available at sci.sdsu.edu/scip
This program, funded by CIRM, provides a stipend of
$2,500/month to undergraduate and master's students to work in stem cell
research labs at TSRI, UCSD, the Burnham Institute and Invitrogen, Inc.
This is a yearlong
full-time internship that should be conducted as either a capstone experience
for undergraduates, i.e. after they've finished with their coursework, or for
master's students, it will be conducted in coordination with a collaboration
between their research advisors at SDSU and one of the other institutions on
the grant. Generally, master's interns will be in their second-year of a master's
program in a relevant field at SDSU. During this first year of the
program, undergraduate interns may be in their last year of coursework.
For more
information about the program, please go to our website at sci.sdsu.edu/scip or
email or call Susan Kaiser at skaiser@sdsu.edu or 594-5016 or
come to GMCS 611.
